On these machines : - What operating system is running ? - What verison of IE is installed ? - HasDataMonitor (DM)client been installed ? - Do you get the prompt to log onto the DM server ? - At what stage does it freeze ? (a screen shot would be useful) (I have also asked the moderator to create a new thread as this is a different problem)

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	OK, three things to check on the client machines : 1) The user logged onto Windows is a member of the SIMATIC HMI Viewer Windows group Set in Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management 2) Is there anything in common between the client machine that can connect and the client machines that cannot connect ? For example, they are on a different network; or the Windows user is not an adminstrator, etc. 3) How was the WebNavigator client installed on these machines ? From the WebNavigator CD or from the WebNavigator website ?

sukrija Posts: 43 Rating: (0)	1) users are members of administrators and simatic HMI 2) i see eveyithing is almost same on all machines. I saw one more thing: on one client it worked, then i deleted adress of server in tools->internet options->connection->lan settings>-advanced->dont use proxy for addresses beginning with:, after that it stoped, when i returned address it wont work.

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	Are you using a proxy server ?? The WebNavigator mentions very specific settings needed for use with proxy servers. Please confirm that you have applied these settings OR try without a proxy server.
