WinCC Flexible 2008 Data Log stop logging

Spoofy_50 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I have a problem with WinCC Flexible 2008. I am using a MP277 8" screen. I have a couple of data logs setup to report values on change. I have eight of these units reporting the same type of data to different locations on my server. What I am seeing is that for some reason the log will just stop sending data. Everyone of my screens will do the same thing and at different times. It may report for a week with no problems and they may stop after a hour of restarting the screen. The log file will start back after runtime is restarted. I have read all the threads here andI only found one that was having the same problem. I have talked with Tech support with no help. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Spoofy_50 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I have our IT department looking at this. Is there any other way to start these logs when they stop, or is there a way to just restart the logs every minute or so to make sure it starts back when it stops? All I am doing now is stopping run time and starting it back.

Every hour or so do: Stop logging (once per log on the panel) Close all logs Open all logs Start logging (once per log on the panel) This is what we use to force a restart on the logs at least once a day. We had the issue that network connection would drop, or that someone would just open up the csv-file, which stops the logging and it doesn't restart automatically.

Spoofy_50 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Allsounds like good things to do. Let me explain what I am currently doing with the log csv file and you may find the error. I am importing data out of these logs into excel, and then saving this excel file with a macro every shift. You stated opening the csv file could cause the log to stop. I have not seen this when I am looking at the csv file. Will the archive function import data to a csv on the server so that I can import into excel like I am doing now?
