How can I write a string, depending on language, in these 4 freely assignable softkey? I found "F:\mmc2\language\HT8_GR.INI" but there is no description in Siemens manual. Customized keys, which can be used to trigger a wide range of machine functions, are evaluated directly by the PLC program. Probably it will help you. Best regards. HT8 works correctly and in my PLC program I use these key but my question was : How can I write a text string, depending on language, in the displayed button of these 4 softkey? as the machine operator can read the function of the key. In the note we read "The keys cannot be inscribed" what does it mean ? (I personally explait these keys cannot be filled with a text label) I tried the first solution you suggested, but I cannot make it working. about the second, there is no HT8.ini file in HMI Advanced. Did you try to guess a solution, or you have some documentation about it? If yes, please let me know as I can try soon. Ciao Paolo
