WinCC Flex 2008 and PLC SIM V5.4

Posts: 67 Rating: (0)	I'll get this out of the way first: I know there are many posts about using PLC SIM and WinCC Flex together but I have not been able to find one that corrected the issue. Situation: PLC S7-414 talking to MP277. In real life, works great. Change HMI IP address to computer IP address and enable PLC SIM (select node with proper IP address)andstart WinCC Flex Sim - no communication. What setting might I be missing or have incorrect? Thanks.

Now just put the Wincc Flex Runtime ON on the PC and dont enable the Wincc Flex Simulator. 3.Now Put the PLCSIM onand Check whether the comunication is setup. To the best i Understand youwant tocheck thefunctioning of the flex project with the PLC Sim. Hope this will work for your case. Thanks

Saravana kumar Gold Member Joined: 2/6/2009 Last visit: 9/1/2025 Posts: 940 Rating: (119)	DearS.S.D.D., I am using S7 313c and TP177B and I am able to communicate between PLC Sim and Flexible Runtime through MPI. All you need to do is, Download your PLC program to the Simulater. ( SetPG/PC will automatically changes to PC Adapter TCP/IP). Open WinCC Flexible backup and select Flexible Runtime, You should not select Flexible simulator. I am using the same method and it is working fine. Revert Back for any clarification.
