Getting Last Fault Code with Profibus

Osman_ Posts: 243 Rating: (4)	I take frequency current - driver temperature informations from MM440 to S7300 with profibus. I also want to take last fault code/information with profibus from mm440 to s7300. I want to display the alarm in "wincc alarm list". I'll display like : MM440 Overcurrent Fault is it possible ? And one more question: Which parameter do I have to change after connecting a Braking Resistance to Driver ? I just could not find it. Thank you very much

Read his complete post in the following thread: /tf/WW/en/Posts/37836 Once you have the fault code in the CPU through Profibus, you can display it in your HMI. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Thank you which parameter do I have to change after connecting Braking Resistance to mm440 ? P1237=1-2-3 .. ? P1240=0 ? Yes, you have to set these both parameters... P1237 to 1-2-3. Setting of this value depends upon how much breaking power required in your system. If it is normal, you can set it to 5% duty ( set 1 ) or if you required higher breaking, go to higher value. If you are not sure, then My suggestion is to go from lower value, if you still get trip on Over Voltage, then change to next higher one And yes, if you are setting P1237 >0, you have to disable VDmax Controller, i.e. P1240 to 0 Best Regards, Devesh Vithani
