Simovert Master Drives is speciallised for Vector Control and Motion Control. For Vector Control, Master Drive is Best.. MM440 is compact and economical Version. You dont have any control cards in that. Limited Inputs/Outputs. You can not expand IOs. You need optional Module for Encoders. Communication with PC is difficult for MM because you need Connecting Kit or RS485/232 Converter while for Master Drive, you just need a simple cable... Master Drive has so many free block. You can prgram almost any thing you want. MM also have free blocks but only limited... MM440 has inbuilt chopper Unit for frame size below FX-GX while Master Drive need Chopper above Compact Plus type.. Master Drive also comes as DC-AC inverter for all Frame while MM is only as converter.. Application wise, if your application needs simple V/F, Simple Close loop vector control, use of PID, then you can go for Micromaster but if your application is more complex and need accurate performance, you need Master Drive.
