How To Show User Active Recipe Record Name

If you use there a String tag you can show this tag a several screens for example and show the user wich recipe/ data records ist active. best regards

kosta Posts: 50 Rating: (4)	using ktp600 with 1214 cpu it doesnt alow me to use tags from recepie in other screens so i think that was the question in the first post. also it doesnt update tag i entered as recepie data record tag, which should be name/number tag. thats using simple view for recepies. i noticed that it does update name/number tag when i try to rename data record! i would expect it to update every time i load it to plc. lol greets

kosta Posts: 50 Rating: (4)	sorry matey. its complitely different software im talking about. and actually my post is at wrong place. in my first line im saying that i use 1214cpu and ktp600. thats done by TIA portal not wincc flexy. it does look like wincc but doesnt work the same. sorry again, its same thing but other hardware and software ...

Thank you for shared experience! [schnippschnapp] new question is splitted to The data record name of the recipe (in cyrillic) appears with a question marks (?????), once it is received back from PLC to HMI.

DKT Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I struggled with the same thing. This is how I got mine to work... Create a DB in the PLC I called mine strings. Then in there createtwo variables, MODEL NAME and MODEL NAME PASS THROUGH (or whatever you want to call them) Then in the recipe of your HMI use MODEL NAME as one of your recipe settings (input field), that will link to the PLC tag you already created. Then go back to the PLC use a string move function and pss the MODEL NAME variable to the MODEL NAME PASS THROUGH. Go back to HMI and use the MODEL NAME PASS THROUGH variable to show the currently set model on any screen. Theres probably a better way of doing it but that works great for me...

MSM@Infrabaker Posts: 3 Rating: (1)	Hi all, The solution I saw on the thread only applies to the "viewed recipe", not the "Active loaded" one to the PLC. Because I want to show the active loaded one on my process screen, does someone have a solution? Perhaps in a script to track the actual loading of the recipe and than write it to a string tag? Have no clue how to do this... Thanks, Martijn
