I would like to know if it's possible to copy a datablock area from one db to another one with a S7-1200 PLC?

Again the same question, how to fully copy data blocks from one DB to another?

I figured out that FILL_BLK and MOVE_BLK do not work because they expect arrays, and only arrays.

But I need to copy one-on-one, that is, I have 5 data blocks with their mixed data, and I need to merge them in one. I want to do that by copying the content of each source DB's to respective areas inside that large target DB, that I have already created.

Is this task as easy as it should be?

Create a new FC. choose SCL as the block language, then program as shown above.  Whilst you are in the SCL block, go to Basic Instructions on the right of the screen, then Move Operations,  (depending on your TIA version you might need to go in to Read/Write Memory),  then find POKE_BLK near the bottom of the list, hover over it for a few seconds and a link to the Help section will be displayed.

Once you have created the Block Copy SCL block you can call it from a Ladder block, as you add it to the LAD program you give it the Inputs as shown and it will Copy as described.  I find that SCL is best for Maths intensive type programming but LAD is best for Logic and Sequencing, so in any project I mix the two.

The big question that might strike you is why are there different commands available in SCL than LAD, that can only be answered by the guys at Siemens and they seem very tight lipped.

Use POKE_BLK

This will work only with DB that have standard block access property.
