Safety Matrix is empty on the OS

Dzwilewicz Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi, I've got a problem with the Safety Matrix 6.2. Everything seems to be correct, the block icon was created but after opening the matrix is empty... Any idea what can cause such thing? While opening it from Component view and going into monitoring mode, everything is all right. Any advice how to solve this? Greetz, Dzwilewicz

You need to to replace the os pictures of the project (in both Server and Client) via the OS Project Editor, in order to replace your HMI screens by the new default screens (Also insure that you've deselected the graphics which you do not require them to be changed e.g. @PCS7Typicals). Sometimes and in some limited cases, this process will not be sucessful. What you need to do is to Convert the pictures of the project, and you can do that by opening the WinCC application of the Server/Client and right-click on the Graphic designer from the project structure and select Convert Pictures. and that shall do the job (this procedure takes a good amount of time. approx. 25 minuts). Greetz, Dzwilewicz Please I need your help. I seem to have the same problem. When I clic on the matrix bloc icons at the OS the following faceplate isn't showing the causes and efects (it is blank). But when I open any cause or effect bloc icon, I am able to see everything the right way (causes, effects, intersections).

fanlfc Posts: 13 Rating: (1)	This problem is arising due to the old versions of the @ F pdl files .These files are not updated in the version 6.2( along with PCS7 v7.1), hence u need to open all such files and only save them once and this should resolve your problem.

I'm using Safety Matrix 6.2 on PCS 7 v7.1 SP2, WinCC v7.0 SP2 I'm able to monitor any Matrix from the ES. Whenever I try to open the matrices on any OS by clicking the block icon, I get an empty faceplate without any causes, effects or intersections. However if I click on any block icon belonging to a cause or effect, I am able to see case, intersections and effects. I also noticed that only on the matrices' block icons there is an "F" showing on the alarms area.

Alejandro Barraza Advanced Member Joined: 9/22/2010 Last visit: 8/29/2025 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Perhaps this might be useful: Go to the Chart of the matrix and enable the SWC (WinCC Communication) and recompile, it recreates a new checksum, compile the OS as well and the matrix should be linked in your project. Had you installed the Matrix viewer for each OS? Is the corresponding .pdl running in the OS projects?
