SICAM PAS and ABB REF615

I have tried all sort of thing but I always get Incorrect compatibility key in SICAM PAS Operation. Has anyone tried to connect this IED to SICAM PAS? Best regards Ensar

I don't know if it happens with all kind of devices and if this still happens, because the test was done 2 years ago. When you change something in ABB configuration, no matter if this has relationship with the communication/information to 61850, the compatibility keys are changed and you should again export CID from ABB and update it into Sicam. It seems that this behaviour may be avoided, but I don't know how. You can see what's the actual Compatibility key in any kind of device using our IEC Browser (www.siprotec.com). Just connect to the device and search for the keys. Maybe I have a picture showing the key from an ABB device, I'll look for it. In Sicam PAS Configuration go to Templates/IEC61850 and click on your ABB device. In the panel where you can see the information there is a panel or buttonon the right (or upside) side called Properties. Click on it and you'll see the compatibility key currently configured in PAS. Here you can also see the path you have to go in ABB via IECBrowser, which is something like IEDNAMECtrl/LLN0/DC. There are several of them (depends on the device) and all of them must be the same on PAS and ABB. Mike J

I send screen shoot of both SICAM PAS and IEC Browser. It would be good to compare these keys. Do you maybe have that picture showing the key from an ABB Device? In IECBrowser click on the button "Auto Refresh", so values will be constantly updated. But this will not solve your problem, as IECBrowser reads all atributes when you navigate through Logican Nodes. Is it possible that in ABB software the compatibility key was configured to be left empty? Please consult ABB's support for this, and give us a feedback. Mike J

Only I can't find compatibility key on this location IEDNAMECtrl/LLN0/DC. Maybe it is somewhere else. What do you think? I don't knowif compatibility key was configured to be left empty in ABB Software. I know that compatibility key that I find in SICAM PAS Configuration (template) I can also find in SCD or CID file if I search it in notepad. You can also try to find it if you search by key that is on SICAM PAS Configuration print screen or search by word "checksum". I send you CID and SCD files in attachment. In the picture attached you can see an example from a RED670 device. Here the key is a date and time, but it can also be numbers. Sicam just show what's in the ICD/CID file. I was looking for compkey data attribute I didn't know that compkey is actually configRev. That is why I didn't find it at first. I will try now and look in PCM 600 (ABB software for configuring REF) properties for config rev. Maybe it is empty in PCM600. Thank you for help. Best Regards Ensar
