Late Platinum Member Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 5/11/2025 Posts: 2705 Rating: (321)	Hi Ancra, A timer (S7) is a doubleword that counts in steps of 10 mSec, so you have to make a variabele thats a doubleword and do some scaling that give you a value from 10mSec steps. The first scan bit is in OB1, look in the 20 byte header, one of those bits is the first scan.

Here you see the format of the data type S5TIME. When you use 2000 in MD20, you just set a time base of 1 second and the time value 0. So it's right the timer doesn' t react. But when you try to use 2010 in MD20, your timer will run for 10 seconds Hope this will help. Best regards, Wizard

Uses MW and not MD. With MD your signals may be left shiffed and a unapropriate value could be evaluated.

Late Platinum Member Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 5/11/2025 Posts: 2705 Rating: (321)	Hi Ancra, You didn't mentioned that you want to use a S5T-timer, that one is working like in S5, thats possible why the call it a S5T-timer [:blush:] As mentioned by the wiz, that one haves another format like xyyy where x could be 0...3 and yyy could be 1...999, 0 stands for 10ms steps, 1 stands for 100mS steps, 2 stands for 1000mS steps and 3 stands for 10 Second steps. [;)] Like our Brazilian frend Denilson says it is a word and not a doubleword like the S7 timer, by that one it is working with mS to a lot of days, 42 I believe. [:o]
