CPU 400H (CPU 412-3H CPU414-4H CPU417-4H) are used as hardware implemented redundant system.(S7 400H manual) for software redundancy check the manual for more details.As you want some sample example refere to chapter 7 (ex for s7-300) and chapter 8 (ex for s7-400). Hardware which is used for software redundancy is listed here. Best regards
