Changeing Logic During Operation

mazdak Posts: 64 Rating: (0)	Dear Friends We have a S7-400 FH system with hot redundancy and system is in operation. Now, I need to change some parameters in logic. For example, delay values, some input/output addresses, adding AND/OR gates, etc. Is there any possibility to apply changes to logic and download it to CPU without interrupting the operation? What is the exact procedure for doing this? When the system is in operation and we are connected and on-line to CPU, we can apply some changes. Is it possible to download changes to CPU in on-line mode? Sincerely Mazdak

Safety program should be made once and certified (accepted)then any modification might (or will) break the acceptance test (certificate). I believe that modification should take place in major stoppage or repairs. However, you can still modify your safety program without stopping the CPU. Please check the following in SIMATIC Industrial Software S7 F/FH Systems - Configuring and Programming. Ch10.6 Downloading the safety program. Ch10.8.1 Online changes in CFC test mode. Ch10.8.2 Downloading changes. Best regards. H-H
