problem with siprotec 7sj602, help, help!!!

gp1402 Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	i have a cpu s7-414 connect with the siprotec 7sj602, the problem is the plc can't see the slave deviece (siprotec), i have already set the profibus address for the siprotec by the menu button on itself devices(not use digsi), cables connection is also ok. In the menu "Assign profibus address" of S7 manager program, plc realized the profibus address but when i config in the HW, and run online the siprotec device is still not connected. I really don't know why, and how to solve this problem. Is there anyone help me? thanks.

As Mike said earlier, just to establish comms you need more tha simply set the Profibus slave address on the relay; you also need to select a standard "mapping" (telegram form and contents) for data exchanges with the DP-master, and you need to link the digital I/O signals of the mapping selected with the status and commands you want to use in the relay. For this there is no other way I know of other than DIGSI4 software, which is the parametrization package for the Siprotec relays. This is stated in the manual mentionned earlier, maybe not as explicitely as one could like, This manual is valid for the SIPROTEC devices: • 7SJ602 (firmware version 3.50 or higher), with PROFIBUS communication module from HW revision 4 and • PROFIBUS-DP firmware version 04.00.06 or higher. For device parameterization has to be used: • DIGSI from version 4.50 If you do not have the software, you might want to get into contact with either your local Siemens rep, or the vendor of the relays, they might be willing to help you out.
