Communication with ABB ACS550

alfreynold Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello to all, i am currently working on a project where i have to read and write data to 4 VFDs, 2 ABB ACS 800 and 2 ACS 550 on a profibus network. The PLC i am using is a SiemensCPU 315-2 DP. And the profibus interface card being used isthe RPBA-01 PROFIBUS Adapter Module. I have been able to establish communication with the 2 ACS800 Drives. But now am unable to communicate with the 2 ABB ACS 550 now. I have tried everything mentioned on this site, from changing PPO type to re parametering and mapping the status and command bits. I've tried using the SFC 14 and SFC 15. But to no avail. Am looking for new ideas. Anyone got any idea ? Thanks in advance Alf

This program contains basic ladder logic for controlling the ABB drive with ABB Drives Profile. Example PLC Codes

Is someone have the detailed procedure or user block with faceplate to communicate the ABB ACS550-01 drive with PCS7. In my configuration i have redundant controller and the drives needs to be connected through the Y-Link. Best regards, Naresh Saini

Blok for ABB ACS 800 who want use can copy and paste our in FB blok. If you communicate a ABB ACS 800 driver via profibus u can use under example project. If it's godd for you please rate :) K.T.
