trying to install to CPU222 EM223

Greg_E Posts: 88 Rating: (2)	I tried to install to CPU222 EM223(8input/8output), as i understood from the manual the addresses would be I1.0... and Q1.0. but i cant use those addresses or any other except of the ones integrated on the CPU. although by the manual writen that 222 excepts 2 expansion modules, and as i can see i cant use any EM. any suggestion? Furthermore there should be displayed the input-address and the output-address IF your EM was detected correctly (i have no plc here to give you detailed tips to navigate to the information)

Greg_E Posts: 88 Rating: (2)	CPU version is 02.01 EM version dont know, i cant see anything about the EM, actually when i connect it to the CPU start working but i cant see the inputs/outputs. and doest it matter which version it is?

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, 1. Check if your wiring is correct (power for the EM?!?) 2. Check if the connector (flat ribbon cable is connected right at the PLC side 3. Check at the PLC if pins of the EM connector are OK 4. Check if the removable connector at the EM fits well to the EM How ever if there is no connection or Power problem then you should see it like descriped before from Lifrasil. Hope this helps
