naah Posts: 76 Rating: (8)	Hi, I should assemble a minimum system of PCS7 for training purpose. Could somebody help me with it? There are many softwares and Hardwares in PCS7 catalogs. I don't know , which are essential to have a minimum system. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

For training purposes you need at least a PCS7 Engineering installation with additional PLCSIM. BATCH Engineering, Route Control Engineering, PDM etc. can be added optionally as required.

I also want to have a hardware both for AS and ES. Do I need OS too? or the ES can be used as OS? dear hjl, would you please explain more or show me somewhere to find about VMware? What are the benefits? Thanks!

Hi naah, the AS configuration is depend on you, you want standard S7-400 CPU or H System, if you want for the Traning the your ES is also can used as a OS, Have a look on the PCS7 Catalog. you will get all the Detail for the PCS7 Product.

What kind of training station do you need? For Operator training? Or for learning how to configure a PCS7 system? Either case the bare minimum is a PCS7 ES. And yes, you can run the OS on ES too. If you want a system for hands on AS hardware training you can add the controllers, IO'sand the whole shebang. Or you can have just the controller and IO simulator... Regards
