Reseting Password & program upload in Op-77B

Muraliraja Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I have many Op-77B Hmi in our factory.In one of the HMI to enter the value to the plc from HMI password has been given.Now the password is not working and i dont have the original backup.Is there any possibilities to reset the password and to take the program backup from hmi which can be edited. Pls reply me very urgent.

If the programmer activated "Password Aging" and entered a value greater than 0 in "Number of invalid login attemps" field, then after viloating these attemps, the password became invalid. And then you have to redownload the software again to the panel in order to reactivate it once again. For yyour case, you do not have the software, So, thereis another alternative way. To do it: *Upload complete backup from the TP / OP using Prosave.* *Create a new project using WinCC flexible with the new user adminstration settings and with empty screens. and download it on the TP / OP.* Use prosave again the make a backup image for only "User Management" settings. You can select "User Ma\nagement" in backup mask of the prosave program. Then download again the orignal image you have uploaded in the first step. Then download the backup image of "user management" on the TP / OP. Now you have the same software with the new administration settings. Hope it helps.

Hello, I tested this way many times with many OPs / TPs. like MP377 , 277. It already worked. With OP77 I did not but I am very much sure it will work. To check, please open prosave software, anc select OP77. and in the backup tab, check if you can upload user adminstration only as a backup. If yes, then this method will work.
