CPU928B had 2 PtP communication interface : 1 Second Interface CPU928B is V.24 connected to Scada as passive partner 2 CP525 connected to Operating Panel V.24 configuration in DX2 ----------------------------------------------------------------- 3: KH=0020; LINK TYPE RK512 4: KH=440A; STATIC PARAM IN DB10 5: KH=0004; FROM DW4 6-9: KH=0000; AS PASSIVE PARTNER, DONT NEED TO CONFIGURE 10-13: KH=0000; reserved 14: KH=4D00; SCB IN FLAG 15: KH=0006; FY 6 V.24 Static parameter in DB10 ----------------------------------------------------------------- 4: KH = 0008; 9600bps 5: KH = 0000; parity no 6: KH = 0008; 8 bit per character 7: KH = 0001; 1 stop bit 8: KH = 0000; 9: KH = 0002; RK512 with 3964R procedure, default value 10: KH = 0000; priority low 11: KH = 00FF; 12: KH = 010A; 13: KH = 0003; connection attempt 3 14: KH = 0005; repetition 5 later on in S7 configuration, i will use CP341-RS232C to replace V.24 and CP525 willno longer be used since i used op with dp interface. in the cpu928b program, i only seen one call for standard function,the function is FB126 (send-a) and FB127(rec-a), from manual this functionis belong to cp525. My question : 1. if cpu928b act as passive partner, is it don't need to put any code (calling standard function) for handling the communication? 2. how do i know which data are fetch by active partner? br rusli

safety4ever Experienced Member Joined: 12/5/2006 Last visit: 9/23/2025 Posts: 73 Rating: (4)	If you are removing the S5 and putting S7 you do not need the FB 126 and 127 those blocks are needed in the S5 to open the port between the S5 CPU and the communication card through the back plane bus. Now what will you use in the Step 7 this depends on the SCADA package you are using some SCADA packages do not need anything to be configured in the STEP 7 just set us the link in NETPRO and the driver for the SCADA does access the addresses directly through a certain syntax other use third party drivers and some would need the data structured in a certain way for example a DB so all depends on the Scada you are using I would suggest also contacting the SCADA manufacturer to consult with them.
