mmkhan Bronze Member Joined: 9/28/2007 Last visit: 12/27/2025 Posts: 252 Rating: (13)	Dear Ekalavya i want to download my part program to sinumerik 840C. i do not want backup of MMC so please tell me the procedure .how can i download part program from my laptop to sinumerik 840c. i am using DB9 Pin to DB25 Pin serial Connector and Using T1 Software(Serial Interface Software). when i send file from sinumeik 840C operator panel to my laptop then ok but when i want to recieve file on sinumerik 840C operator panel and press Data input Tab on operator Panel and then Input Start it show UnKnow Data and hang. so please tell me this procedure. regards

Heksu Posts: 180 Rating: (12)	Hi 256, I tought you want move data from pc to nc, then you have to do chapter 3.3 Data out... I think you have to read chapter 3.6 and make sure your file is in right format. You have connection with your cable? -Heksu-

mmkhan Bronze Member Joined: 9/28/2007 Last visit: 12/27/2025 Posts: 252 Rating: (13)	Dear Heksu Thanks again for your reply. now i used WinPcin and set following prameters on Machine Side Serial 1 Standard Standard Device Type Universal Protocol RTS/CTS Baud Rate 9600 Stop Bits 2 Parity Even Bits Per Channel 7 Xon Character 11 Xoff Character 13 End of Transmission 03 EOB CRLF Time Out 30 FormatPunch Tape Format PC/LAPTOP Side Serial Port COM1(or any free com port) Baud Rate 9600 Data Bits 7 Parity Even Stop Bits 2 Cable as mentioned in the manual you attached and now everything is fine.i have successfuly transferred my part program from my laptop to CNC.Thanks for your responses.
