Marko Bursic Posts: 1410 Rating: (154)	Your problem could be in sensor output and cable. If impedances of sensor output and PLC input don't match the signal observed on scope aren't quadratic pulses, so the output doesn't switch off and counter can't count pulses, because there are no pulses anymore, Check sensor manual, check length and type of cable used, you can improve switching of sensor by adding RC components or adding a signal amplifier.

F Hänninen Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	The speed is 5000 rpm How many pulses is it in one rotation? With your sensor with the range of 0-2000 hz you can maximum handle 23 pulses/rotation. Does it help?

F Hänninen Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Thats means that the frekvens is more then 800hz Theoretik i would work but i think you chould check the signal from the sensor. I guess 2000hz is possible only if the active and not active time is the same. (a square-wave)
