Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	It's not so hard, but i spent some time when i used it. First of all you should make sure that you are using modules supporting timestamping. Then you should turn on hardware interrupts for falling and rising edge on the module. Also timestamping checkbox should be activated. Time syncronization must be configured. In your programm you must place FB in OB1,40,86,100. Instaed OB1 you can use any cyclic OB. Instaed OB100 you should use all your restarting OBs. When buf_ready bit is set you can read timestamp from instance DB of FB62. Msg_to_read indicated how many messages could be read. Each message has "signal" valiable. If it is 80 then input is set, if 0 then it's reset. Also take care about slot and channel number - IM generates some messages (time syncronization for exampl) relating to slot 2 (IM). Timestamp is 2 DWORDs. If you concotanaite them you will get S5Time variable. PS. I can send you working sample - just give me address.

In this test I'm using a signal generator that supports until 10kHz. Well, my big problem is that in some batch tests messages was lost, but the IM153-2 didn't send a special message indicating overflow. Did you make some perfomance test with this equipment or didyou have some similar problem? Best Regards,

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	Well, the system i worked with required precise timestamp about when signal came, but frequency of these signals was very low - 1 signal change/day, so i never met loss of messages.

I can send you working sample - just give me address. -- Can you please tell me how did youconfigure a project in Step 7 (NCM/PC Manager) for timestamping. I am using CP5613 A2 card as master and ET200M (IM 153-2) as a slave with DI modules supporting timestamping functionality. Can you please tell me as to from which part of hardware catalogue should the slave be picked and hence,the project be configured.?
