Tips for WinCC Professional: check list for downloading a configuration

So I think to create this topic to collect (with help of you) tips to help in this function. Here there are some check points about downloading configuration with WinCC Professional: - Is WinCC V11 and Windows compatible? (compatibility list stay in the link: /tf/WW/en/Posts/58714 ) - Have the product installation be done without errors or warnings? - Is the project compiled without errors or warnings? - Is the OS reachable via ping or the name? - Are both Systems in the same Workgroup or Domain? (MyComputer > Properties > Computer Name) - Have both Users the right authentication? (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Local User and Groups > User > "user name" > Properties > Member Of > e.g SIMATIC HMI) - Can the user on the Engenniering Station have write access to the shared folder on the Runtime Station? (Shared folder write access to every one or to Engenniering Station User - in this case both PC should have the same user / password registred) - Can you see the OS in the simatic Shell? - Is the Data Execution Prevention deactivated? (Right click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Data Execution Prevention Turn on: DEP for essential Windows programs and services only) - Is the network adapters set in the right order? (Control Panel > Network Connections > Advanced > Advanced Settings (take a look at the connections here) - (For the case of downloading the PC Station configuration together with WinCC configuration: Is the name / configuration of the PC Station the same of the PC where WinCC Runtime is installed? In WinCC V11 > PC Station > right button > Configure PC Station online) - The FAQ http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/868014 has other point to be checked. (Despite it was original developed to older versions of WinCC; it can also be used for WinCC Prof. V11)

It's working Now i would like to test it on mynetwork company Server is on WINDOWS 2008R2 fresh install. I have make same install than my personnal network on it ....and it seem not working so well. Ping is ok, network and domain too, SQL ok. I have acces to shared directory scriptfct and winccprojects. When i try to transfert my project on this machinei have got a SCS transfert error.... What it different on Windows 2008R2 ? need something more ? services ? Need specialy port open to firewall ? more than programming port 102 ? Thanks

My project now appear in my directory. I can lauch it Everything seem good butit seem to have no "out network"access to my PLC... No PLC variables seem working on the RT. The Project is working with link : CP_L2_1. I chose in PG/PC my network card in TCPIP.1 in my server... I test it on another windows2008R2 server it is same... Too compare : I put a PC with Windows 7 in my network. I copy my RT directory from my 2008R2 server to my Windows 7 PC I chose in PG/PC my network card in TCPIP.1 in this computer... Lauch project and no problem working perfectly I have test to open the firewall on the server it is same. I think something is missing.....on Windows 2008R2 servers configuration but what ????? Thanks .

I start TIA and clic on "accessible members" The choose of network card is "plcsim" no other possibility of my network card ???? somethingseem not working by default ona windows2008r2 server make same test on another machine : same problem. Service need to be install??? Thanks

Now working ! To a VMWARE Sphere server is same ! need to change intel driver by VMware Driver
