i am using simatic net v7.0
simotion D425 V4.1 incl. Sinamics V2.5
i just want to access total simotion Variable with simatic net .
using x130 port of simotion and intergated ethernet port of laptop(for this Communicationwhich type oflicence required for Simatic NET).

please i need help for this topic what is the problem in accessing SIMOTION variable by simatic net opc,i can access variable in scout but it's value is not comming. please see below image.

Making OPC communication with Simotion is very easy

1)Create a folder to export OPC data.For example C:\OPC

2)From Simotion Scout Options > Export OPC data

Select correct SimaticNET version.

In Scope area:

Check Global export

Check Controls

Check Drives

In Options area:

Check OPC data

Check OPC alarm/event

Press OK

3) Select target folder. (here is C:\OPC)

Press OK

4) Protocol: TCP/IP

Interface: X130

Press OK.

If gateway asked say No.

5) From Start > All Programs > SIMATIC > SIMATIC NET > Configuration Console

6) From the left side select Application > OPC Settings > Symbols

7) Press edit list

8) If any symbol defined first delete it. Press Browse. Select C:\OPC\OPC_Data.sti

9) Press Advanced Symbols select your ethernet card. Press Apply.

10) From the left side again under Modules > "find your ethernet card" > General

Mode of module: PG operation Press Apply.

11) Close Configuration Console

12)From Start > All Programs > SIMATIC > SIMATIC NET > SIMOTION OPC File Manager

13) Press Add. Select "C:\OPC\OPC_AE.xml"

14) Press Create output file button. Close SIMOTION OPC File Manager

15) Copy "C:\OPC\OPC_AE.xml" file to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Siemens\SIMATIC.NET\opc2\binS7\simotion\xml"

*** From folder options Show hidden files must me checked.

Now you can check from OPC Scout.

i can run this on demo (simatic net) mode or any license required ?
because temporary at presenti dosn't have any license for simatic net.

I think there is no demo version of SimaticNET.

What is your Simatic NET version?

May be you use V7.1.

You can select V7.0 or previous versions while exporting OPC data from Simotion SCOUT.
