Is Modbus TCP License Required?

msadeghi Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, In a designed S7-400H PLC system, there must be a redundant Modbus TCP communication. I want to know if I must buy the license with order No. 2XV9450-1MB11 ? or maybe this library is included in step7 or Wincc ?? This question has been shaped in my mind because in CA01, I couldn't find this license as the required accessories for CP443-1.

Kashef Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Bonjour Rated X I used Demo version of Open modbus TCP/IP (2XV9450-1MB11) but without Reg_key, and when i tested my project, i didn't have any problem, now i am worried about the demo version.will i have problem at future with send and recieve data by open Modbus TCP/IP (without REG_KEY). please help me. thank you so much

The only difference with an unlicensed version is that the SF or INTF led blinks cyclically and some entries can be found in the diagnostic buffer. Regards Sakura

The only difference with an unlicensed version is that the SF or INTF led blinks cyclically and some entries can be found in the diagnostic buffer. don't mean to spoil the party, but there is one more difference: You are NOT licensed and must ONLY use it for evaluation purposes!
