ahsan1820 Posts: 119 Rating: (1)	I have three boilers,and I have to control and monitor two analog inputs and a single analog output of each boiler separatly ,on wincc flexible runtime.Please give me suggestion that ,should i use seprate s7 200 cpu for each boile or use a single?also tell me how should i handle thse I/O's. Collectively the number of analog inputs is 6 and analog output is 3.Is it easy to use another cpu like s7-300 or else..

Dinanath Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Ahsan, you can communicate with 3 S7-200 CPU with single winCC Flexible HMI/PC station/Simatic panel.You can use 3 CP-243-1 modules for ethernet connection and you can talk with 3 PLC through sigle HMI/PC station/Simatic panel via ethernet hub. In winCC flexible software you have to do the settings in connection optionfor 3 PLC. Regards

lk-cs Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	One S7-200 CPU is enough to use, you can select CPU224(order:6ES7 214--1AD23--0XB0). Your application is very simple, even you requrie PID control, S7-200supports max 8 PID algorithm. You justmake one connection between WinCC flexible and S7-200. But you need a OPC software package for it, WinCC flexible doesn'toffer a direct channel for S7-200. You can contact Siemens personnel to request it(PC access), it's a limited software, but it's free.

Zunar Posts: 60 Rating: (6)	Is an OPC Server truly needed? Cannot you just configure your connection as an S7-300 type? One other thought, it was never stated how these S7-200's are to be connected to the HMI. Will you use MPI protocol and something like a CP5611 card or will you choose Ethernet using the CP243-1 module?
