forget password of project for Mp377, how can restore password from pwl file

MIrNa1144 Posts: 49 Rating: (0)	Hi i make a project for one machine,transfer to MP377,give password to operator & leave there,but after a few monts they call me & said operator forget password.i search on my system & can't find source of project.but i know one file with PWL extension exist in project & carry passwords,how can i recover password from this file?

The Brain Posts: 1611 Rating: (121)	Hi, sorry, but there is no way to read out the passord! You can only transfer the project again to the MP377. Use this helpful System function -> pack&go (Look into the online help from WinCC flexible -> search for "Pack&Go") or look to this FAQ -> http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/36305011 So your Customer can maybe download the project by himself. From where did you know that is possible to restoire a passwords from pwl file? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

The Brain Posts: 1611 Rating: (121)	Hi, if you have in the project an "User View" and you have the admin password, then you can reactivate the "old" password --else -> no way! The "standard" password are "admin" and "100" Maybe you have luck and can use it. regards,

Dear MirNA1144, As per my knowledge, i dont think so that you can recover password in such way.you must have original backup with you. please be careful if some one ask you to pay money.

MIrNa1144 Posts: 49 Rating: (0)	Hi my friendsi only have backup with PSB extension,can i open this file with WinCC flex or another softwares to modify or change somethings? one question about PWL file,can i make new PWL file in another project & copy paste this file in MP377 & use password of new PWL or it's related to project? i don't want to pay money for this this because customer don't pay any extra money for this to me. Thanks
