electronics Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	dear all how are you im new here and i want some help i have wrapping machine using step7 400 when i switch on, the machine not start then i need go to the selector mode of plc and turn key from run to stop mode then return to run after that the machine start correctly please i want to know what the kind of this problem thanks& best regards

The best way to solve the problem is to hire an expert to the site. One day I faced the same problem. The project have a CPU 315-2DP connected with 10 Semias P Power meter. there was some mistakes in installtion. so, when power up the system, the power meters take a long time to aquire its profibus data, so, the CPU goes to stop mode. This problem can be solved easily using diag. OBs. or correct the installation mistakes. It may be your case and may be not. So, somebody should look on the HW configuration and installation to solve your problem. Hope this helps.

electronics Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	dear sir thanks for reply me i want just tell you i have step7 400 with interbus and ob17 when i switch on machine i read error on screen say button emergency field but i checked all button and doors lock all are good then when i go to selector mode and change it from run to dtop and run again the machine start i need do that evry time switch on machine thanks sir please help me zohair from morocco

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 12/24/2025 Posts: 12472 Rating: (2722)	Hello electronics; There is a possibility that your Interbus interface does not become active when you start the PLC, and does so only on the Stop and Run seqwuence on the selector. Maybe some setting in the ColdStart OB (OB101) is not working adequately for example. Please give us details on the interface between the PLC and the Interbusd network in your project. I suggest you look at the diagnostic buffer of the CPU to see what event has been registered at PLC startup. We can help you out with the diagnostics if you save the contents of the diagnostic buffer and attach it to a post here on the forum. Hope this nhelps, Daniel Chartier

Kiren Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Hello dear, Just for information.. I had faced some issue on crane having S7 400..after every power UP..not with every start.. In my program, lots of position values including calibration points are there. Battery was down. So i had to to switch the CPU once from run-stop- run...I believe when battery is down then RAM data values goes off after power Up...After replacement of battery everything was OK.. Regards Kiran D

About battery, take a look at Where can you find information about the S7-300/400 backup batteries? and What is the effect of the 1 Batt./OFF/2 Batt. settings on the BATT.INDIC switch?
