Use standard RS232-USB converter and connect to it the Siemens S5 cable

Use standard RS232-USB converter and connect to it the Siemens S5 cable. 4. There's non Siemens product to connect the S5 PLCs directlly to USB port. But note that this way is not supported from Siemens and it's not tested too as it's not Siemens product. And I recommend you to migrate to S7. In this case, you can connect the S5 cable to that com port. And I would like to tell that I have tried solution # 4 with a cable from Process Informatik. http://www.process-informatik.de/produkte/pg-usb Hope this helps.
