The quote was received as Siemens PLC CPU Simatic S7-300,CPU312 CPU WITH MPI Interface,Integrated 24V DC Power supply 32Kbyte working memory,Micro Memory Card Necessary Part no:6ES7312-1AE14-0AB0 We need your technical review and confirm the replacementt was compatiable with existing model,Is that involved any software program change or hardware connection for replacment case Your detailed reply is high appreciated Best Regards Partha

Your new PLC is lower end but therefore has more internal working memory. SO theoretically it should work, but it would be nice to see HW configuration as well to tell exactly. Better idea for you would be to take Siemens recomended upgrade for your old PLC: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/4067792
