NetPro, when to add a S7 connection in it?

"You do not need any connection (in NetPro) between PLC and OS." how does the PLC know it is a valid connection? Thank you and have a nice day!

Regardless of whether you want to communicate via global data communication(Direct to CPU) 2. Via communication function blocks in the user program: the basis for communication is always a preconfigured network (Using Communication Blocks such as Send, Recive, Get,PUT). Advantage of Netpro 1. You can configure and assign parameters easily and clearly to the network configuration for your system. 2. Create a graphical view of your network (consisting of one or more subnets). 3. Determine the subnet properties/parameters for each subnet. 4. Determine the node properties for each networked module. 5. Document your network configuration. Further clarificaiton you can get it from Help mannual in Netpro Window. Have fun....
