PRADEEP PRABHU B Posts: 32 Rating: (1)	Dear All... I have analog module A18*12BIT with mlpf 6ES7 331-7KF02-0ABO.... I have to connect 2 linear transducer 4 wire type with 4 to 20ma current output... after going through forum i have some queries... 1. Am getting 7fff vallue ... 2.All other unused pins has to shorted with M????? 3.I have cnfigured 1st channel and conected only one transducer ie pin 2 with M+ and Pin 3 with M- of transducer alll other pin left open .. But am getting 7FFF ... Is this because i have not shorted other unused pins or any other problem... There is no problem in transducer end as i have checked it properly and found ok... In one of the forum i have found problem might come in V 5.4... Am using sematic manager version 5.5 now... But hardware was initially configured in v5.4... do i have to do configuration again???? Hping for reply immediately... as am in a deep trouble..

PRADEEP PRABHU B Posts: 32 Rating: (1)	Dear all.. Wizard thanks for yur reply.... Yes it is in range c... i have used 2 input of 1st channel group.... all other channel i have connected in series... Ie from pin 20 to pin19,pin 19 to pin18..........pin 7 to pin 6.... pin20 connected to negatve supply.....ie 0V.... M- of the two LVDT connected to -ve supply IE 0V.. and one cable i have connected to ground from 0V... after ging through eorum i have done this connection... Module was showing fault and it was showing error .... channel 1 error and channel 2 error.. Please help me .. With Kind Regards Pradeep Prabhu B

PRADEEP PRABHU B Posts: 32 Rating: (1)	Dear Tagolover .. I have gone through the manual before... Linear Transducer is connected to the module... Even i have measured current at input to module .. It varies from 4 to 20 ma for minimum to maximum position of the transducer.. I have wired even unused pins with series... Let me ask u something... actually we have connected wrong supply before.. Pin 1 = 24v Pin10=0v Pin11=24v Pin 20=0V Will this wiring has distroyed module.. Please waiting for your reply... With Kind Regards Pradeep Prabhu B

Jazz_M Posts: 1121 Rating: (86)	Hi Well most likely could be a reason, When you connect a sensor the value is jumping from say 0-27648 right If yes then it could be channel failure.... sorry to say that, can you wire the same wiring to other channel and check... Have fun....

Before doing something nonsence anymore thought of getting sollution from expert... .even in unused channel am getting 7FFFH... I have used analog output module also... While start up analog module shows SF led REd .. But after start up in run mode SF is not on... But for analog input module while startup SF is off and in Run mode SF will be on.. That could have dammaged them all The modules don't like voltage on themA inputs CAUTION Any voltage measurement will destroy the measuring range module if "current" measuring mode is set. Try to put them at voltage range (B position) and test again to see if the card is still alive and SF goes off. Regards, Marcjan

Before i did the supply wiring with wrong method ... I checked with channel group 1 and 2... My linear transducer support only 0-10v... which module doesnt support... i really dont have any other option rather than 4 to 20ma.. Connecting 24v at pin no 11 would have distroyed module????? If the other wiring was done as shown in picture, could be. To get any further, check with voltage, you can even use a 1.5V battery as a sensor simulation. you should then get a value (27648/10 * 1.5) At least you know then the card is o.k or not.
