Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Nemo's link pointed out something good: the gmsgfunc.fct. This function is in the C-Editor, under Standard Functions -> Alarm. It's executed whenever a new alarm occurs. Part of it is: &mRT.dwMsgNr, // Meldungsnummer so this function does access the message number! So by using gmsgfunc I believe you could achieve what you want. Best regards, Danielle

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	GMsgFunction runs whenever an alarm occurs or changes state. If you open this Standard Function in the Global Script Editor you will see that it already contains the code to give you the message number for the alarm. So all you need to do is add some extra code to this function to then take this message number and do something with it. You can do this by either writing it to an internal tag or triggering one of your project functions. This is fairly advanced scripting for WinCC and so I would only recommend doing this if you have had WinCC and scripting training. Hello! In the line &mRT.dwMsgNr, // Meldungsnummer the message number is accessed and stored within the tag mRT.dwMsgNr whenever an alarm occurs, the alarm number will be stored in this tag. While configuring alarms you can check in Alarm Logging the number for the message you're searching. When the alarm happens, the gmsfunc will have to compare this new alarm's number to the one you're looking for, and with that you'll know if the last alarm is the one you want... You wish to have an acknowledgment button which will only acknowledge a few certain messages, right? As Salma said, this may be advanced programming, depending on what you wish to do.
