SCL code help ~~~ what's mean POINTER TO datatype

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	I didn't see neither POINTER TO ARRAY nor '^' in Siemens SCL syntax. Are you sure this code is from Simatic environment? And to be honest i don't see a reason for using pointers in this example - it's just simple array pass-through, can be easily done on SCL without pointers.

It looks like someone has tried to translate it to SCL from another language and not made a very good job of doing so. My guess is that it maybe started life as some 'c' code as the '^' operator is a bitwise exclusive OR. I don't have any e-book references. However, the book "Automating with STEP 7 in STL and SCL" is a very good reference. A have this book and it has proved to be very useful.
