Current counts half on profibus

Shivshanker Posts: 49 Rating: (1)	dear sir We are not getting accurate counts of actual current through profibus in data block. we notice that value are exactly half of total values. we are not able to understand why?and at same time speed feedback counts are accurate counts.

Hello, Yes. It's normal. To read and write speed, current using profibus, you have to work with telegrams. I think you are using standard telegram 20. Am I right? Set point frequency = ( 0 .. 4000) Hex = ( 0 ... ref. freq) where ref. frequency = P 2000 Act. frequency = ( 0 .. 4000) Hex = ( 0 ... ref. freq) where ref. frequency = P 2000 Act. current = ( 0 .. 4000) Hex = ( 0 ... ref. current) where ref. current= P 2002 Normally after finish quick commissioning, value in P2000 is the rated frequency and value of P2002 is 2 x rated current. So, you have to take this into your consideration, and also, check now what is the value of P0305 (rated motor current) and P2002. Hope this helps.
