boazeventall Posts: 131 Rating: (4)	i have created on my plc program bit that will on when ever is an overflow the address is DB1.DBX0.0 now i want to connect him to my wincc flexible program how can i do that? i have put on the screen from the tool bar the Alarm veiw after that i have add a discrete Alarms see at the picture one: but when i have created an overflow level and in the system i see the DB1.DBX0.0 get true bool the messege on alarm view didnt appeared way? how to connect my bit DB1.DBX0.0 to the alarm view tool Attachment one.JPG (820 Downloads)

When you go there you will see that alarm is defined as a bit number in a word, so all your PLC alarms (bit alarms) should be grouped in words and then you can use those words for setting up an diskrete alarm. Please look for more info in WinCC Flex help system.

Please keep in mind that here I've made SET for alarm bit, so it should be reset somewhere when it is acknowledged. If you use '=' for setting alarm then it will dissapear as long as alarm condition is gone. SOmetimes its a good practice, but for example if you need to catch 'fast' events, for example pressure shock for 0.5 sec, the allways use SET., because with '=' panel will not catch an alarm.

Youre using TIA. Ok, close the block, then right mouse click on the block, select properties and on the opened dialog choose language STL.
