Hello All,

New to the Simens product line here. I am programming in a FB that I am using multiple instances of for breaker controls. Is there a way to address a coil using the bit of a INT data type? I have a word of breaker alarms and I want to set the bits in the word individually and remember this is in an FB that is called multiple times and I use one DB for all of the instances.

I originally created the breaker alarm bits as an Array [0..15] Bool, but the problem with that is I can't clear the Array or move a "0" (zero) into the array to clear my alarms each scan, so that is why I am trying the Word approach which works with MOVE statements. Is there any way to clear a BOOL ARRAY?

Thanks for the response, but I guess I should have specified I am programming in LAD language. Having a bit trouble following the STL example you provided.

The MOVE statement does not accept BOOL ARRAYS as a valid data type. How do I clear or move a zero into 16 BOOLS with one statement?
