Saggy Silver Member Joined: 11/8/2011 Last visit: 10/15/2025 Posts: 387 Rating: (43)	Hi sahmad99, Operating states from POWER ON to redundant system mode 1)After the power supply has been turned on, the two CPUs (CPU 0 and CPU 1) are in STOP mode 2)CPU 0 changes to STARTUP and executes OB 100 or OB 102 according to the startup mode. 3) If startup is successful, the master CPU (CPU 0) changes to single mode. The master CPU executes the user program alone.At the transition to the LINK-UP system mode, no block may be opened by the "Monitor" option, and no variable table may be active. 4)If the reserve CPU (CPU 1) requests LINK-UP, the master and reserve CPUs compare their user programs.If any differences are found, the master CPU updates the user program of the reserve CPU. 5)After a successful link-up, updating is started, . The master CPU updates the dynamic data of the reserve CPU. Dynamic data are inputs, outputs, timers, counters, bitmemories, and data blocks 6)The master and reserve CPUs are in RUN mode after the update. Both CPUs process the user program synchronized with each other. and the Rack1 CPU(Standby) takes update time depending on the user program after that it switched to run Mode Hope this helps

I found if forced are pending on CPU and i tried to switchover CPU by warm restart then i found standby CPU will gone to run mode by warm restart. why this happen and how i overcome from this problem.

Hi MANISH@TCS, Rack 0 CPU is in STOP mode and Rack1 CPU is in Run Mode u mean to say.

Forcing with H CPUs V4.5.0 The forcing function of H CPUs with version V4.5.0 may not be used if the code memory test is activated at the same time. Error description: If the forcejob runs for an extended time, a two-sided defect can occur over a period of several minutes to 90 minutes. The defect will be entered in the diagnostic buffer with event 4550 8F37 0039. Affected CPUs: CPU 412-3H: 6ES7 412-3HJ14-0AB0 CPU 414-4H: 6ES7 414-4HM14-0AB0 CPU 417-4H: 6ES7 417-4HT14-0AB0 Workaround: If there is no F program, the workaround is as follows: If testing of the code memory is switched off, the problem no longer occurs. For this purpose the SFC 90 must be called in the startup OB and testing of the code memory switched off with Mode "20" and Submode value "1". The problem will be corrected with the new firmware V4.5.1 which is due to be released in the near future. Hope this helps
