difference between software redundancy & hardware redundancy

I know that Software redundancy possible only on S7-300 and S7-400 series and hardware redundancy only on S7-400 series.any more points you know regarding this. also any doc. is available please tell me.

(the topic has been discussed numerous times andyou'll of course also find the manuals here). In case you are not familar with the search feature,head for https://support.automation.siemens.com, type in your search term and then filter the results as needed (e.g. Manuals, FAQ's, Forum etc.). Note that thereis also a "Guided tour" available. I hope this helps

Hello, Small correction. Software redundancy is possible for both S7-300 or S7-400 CPUs. Hardwareredundancy is possible for S7-400H CPUs.
