hi everybody

I have the same problem and the same configuration i have all three items (CP 1623 and SIMATIC Net software V12 , S7-REDCONNECT  but I still can not configure this network. actually when i choose ISO-on-TCP this error comes which i have attached and when i open the help it says you need the CP on the CPU side Do i really need The CP-443-1 or not.???/ (i have CPU 410-5H). i really appreciate if you help on this problem.

if you choose "ISO-on-TCP" the S7-REDCONNECT should work with
CP1623 and internal PN-Interface of the CPU.

 Hi All,

After going through several links which were dated several years earlier , I just wonder wonder whether Siemens has improved their packages on this. 

At present,  I have a s7-4125H  H-CPU station. See attached configuration .( Sorry it is copied from previous post with some edition by my.)

I have a WinCC OS station. At present it is equipped with two LAN ports. I am able to connect WINCC OS to s7-CPU via two SCALANCE unmanaged switches to redundant path. But the Connection Driver under the Connections menu allows only  one IP address .

I want the WINCC communication driver to switch path from 192.168.0.1 ( Master CPU) to 192.168.0.2 ( Standby CPU). whenever there is change in H-CPU status.

I have used iFIX ,InTouch or Cytec HMI packages wherein the configuration of the communication drivers allows me to specify a Primary port and Back-up (or secondary) port.  This is very standard feature in those software packages . But now with the Siemens Package I do not find it.  Can some one advise me what optional package , if any, I need to buy. ( I know special communication Ethernet processor such CP 1613 or CP 56XX could be used etc would be not only  expensive affairs but time consuming when we already have least expensive LAN ports available on the PCs. The very idea of an HMI package is to use off the shelf , commercially  available PCs , OS , networking accessories.I talked to some of my friends in IT indusrty . As per them it is just a question of adding a scripy for changeover of connection path in the communication driver for a manufacturer. It is unfair to design a totally different of-the-shelf solution.) 

Any easier solution or am I missing something to configure in the already standard WINCC package.?

In my project I want to do Network Redundancy for Wincc. So I have 2 no.of CP1623 in my OS station ,new S7-400H controllers including PROFINET support (S7-400H SYSTEM BUNDLE, CPU 412-5H, 10A, 230V AC : 6ES7 400-0HR01-4AB0)andSCALANCE XB-008 unmanaged8 x 10/100 Mbit/s electrical RJ45 ports (6GK5008-0BA00-1AB2).

Please find the attched system configuration for referance and let me know wheter am i able to achive network redundancy for Wincc?
