SCALE block in TIA Portal V11

hidayatn Posts: 5 Rating: (1)	Hallo, i'm a student and i have a problem to use SCALE block in TIA Portal V11, in this case, i need to scale analog input data (0- 27648) which is manipulated by using Potensiometer and i need output value (0-100), could you help me and give me simple sample to solve this. in this project i use S7300 - CPU315F 2PN/DP. Thank you so much Best Regard

JFTech11 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I have done this in TIA Portal V11 SP1 Upd2 and used the instruction sequence shown in the system manual (s71200_system_manual_en-US_en-US.pdf) on page 188. Use Norm_X and Scale_X both on analog inputs, and analog outputs. I read a 0-10,000 psi pressure transducer that is 0-10vdc and this gives me a correct and scaled value. Norm_X 0 min, and 27648 max, then Scale_X 0 min and 10,000 max. I output to a V/P pressure transducer at 0-10vdc/0-100psi using Norm_X at 0 min and 100 max, then scale to 0 min and 27648 max. Works great! Picture is from the manual, I don't have a screenshot of my logic. This was for an S7-1200. I don't know if it will work in an S7-315. Attachment Norm-Scale.jpg (2872 Downloads)

You can see in attached picture how it works for the 315 and where to find the block. This block is simular to the Step7 5.X blocks and that block always worked for me, so i see no reason why the TIA block should not work. Regards, Marcjan Attachment scale-315.jpg (1910 Downloads)

hidayatn Posts: 5 Rating: (1)	Hallo, Thanks for all.I have solved my problem in using SCALE Block with CPU315, in this problem i have just known that we also have to change the Data Type of Input Analog from Word into Bit which is available in the PLC Tags, otherwise we couldn't use this analog input (IW288) in the IN Pin on the SCALE Block FC105. So we don't have to convert Analog Input Data Type using convert block to convert from Word into Bit. Thank you
