Hello KaOst; I wonder, do you want to use the Siemens HMI as a DP slave to a S7 CPU, or to a third-party? I ask, because in the S7 world the Siemens HMI panels can only act as Class 2 Profibus masters. That is, they share the Profibus token on the bus, as are able to interrogate the Class 1 masters (the PLCs, controllers) in order to collect the data required to fill their active screens and registers. They cannot act as DP-slaves to a S7. For panels with active keys, you could setup the keypads as DP-slaves, but not the panels themselves. That being said, there are some gsd files available for Siemens panels, when they are to be connected to S5 CPUs as slaves over Profibus-DP. I woud presume they would also work with third-party CPUs: Which GSD files are there for the Profibus DP operator panels? |

Hello, You can set your tag of this panel on the aquisition mode "on demand". Then you can trigger your tags if you need them. Tweety |

Hello, Do you have many panel on your profibus, and you can ask if you can have a spezial solution. See the link. Is there a Siemens contact for customer-specific software solutions, extensions to WinCC flexible or own applications for Windows CE Panels? Tweety |
