RK512 in S7 with CP341

adam_smelek Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I have qestion about CP341 and RK512 protocol. My customer is using S5 PLC with some PC application and communication is based on RK512 protocol. If I will migrate PLC do S7 version and migrate software from S5 to S7 and in my new configuration I will place CP341. Will I be able to comminicate with this PC application automaticly? I mean because I don't have possiblity to change anything in PC so I figured if I connect PC to S7 via CP341 I can make this work or I'm wrong? Commands send from PC are asking S5 addreses so CP341 will automaticly convert it do S7 addressing or not? Sorry for the new thred but I wasn't able to find this in other sources. regards Adam

Please read this manual first, if you have not done so http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1117397 You have to also pay attention to the word and byte addressing between S7 and S5.
