Hello, Please check the following discussion on the same issue: CPs program QUESTION: When I add one CP to a project such as CP443-1.A program folder which has block folder in it was generated under this CP in STEP7.I want to know which functions can I put in this block folder and when do I need it? ANSWER: The folder contains a SDB container which carries the SDBs required for the CP, nothing else. the answer in this case is simple... because the answer is none. Best Regards Hamid Hosseini

Hello, As mentioned the "Blocks" folder there can not be used for communication programming.For set up a communication regarding a CP,You need to configure its basic parameters in HW.Cofig in the station that accommodates CP. Based on application, type of network and protocol you may need extra configurations in "NetPro' editor and programming is done like other part of logics with programming editors plus function or function locks from SIMATIC NET library(generally). For each case, there are plenty of prepared samples with different hardware platforms(SIMATIC NET Quick Start Collection ) available here to download for more investigation.
