You can not use IE instead of Profibus. But you can also use ProfiNet. But ProfiNet is not less costly! |

Hi
If your PG is in profibus network, you can simply use "Accessible Node" option in Step 7 to find all the available stations with address. Also we use toolprofitrace. Very simple to use tool. It has diagnosis features and will let you know where the breakage is in profibus line, also which node is receiving how much voltage, which in turn can help you to decide whether you need a repeater or not.
