BhaPraJ Posts: 519 Rating: (83)	Ayman Elotaify Dear All, During changing S7-31x CPU to another one with different Part number, there's a free tool offered from SIEMENS to check if this conversion is possible or not. What should you watch out for when changing from one S7-300 CPU to another? The tool: S7-300 Upgrade Check Tool For Changing from obsolete CPU318, it can be migrated to CPU317 or CPU319. The following tool will check that for you. You have just to open the tool and browse the software and it will tell you which CPU is the optimum solution for you. For sure CPU319 can do the job without need of this tool, but the price difference between CPU 317 & CPU 319 is very big. What should you watch out for when migrating from the CPU 318-2 DP to the CPU 317-2 DP and CPU 317-2 PN/DP? What should you watch out for when migrating from the CPU 318-2 DP to the CPU 319-3 PN/DP? Tool: CPU 318 Migration Check Program Hope this helps. Is there any tool for 400 PLCs. .

Hello,Till now, the answer is: "No" As I read this post about 300 series, I tried to search for same tool in 400 series. . But didn't get link for same. . Even I have tried 400 project but didn't get that much satisfactory result as 300. . Once again Thanks. .
