Hello kosa, From your absolute addresses, it can be concluded that you are working on TCONT_CP , FB58, in your STEP 7 project.I think this is not possible to migrate your logic 1:1 to TIA Portal and S7-1500 controller.The only possibility would be understanding the whole PID section and recreating the same section , that is possibly reusable, with multi-instance capability in TIA Portal. Thanks hdhosseini. The situation is I have multiple PID's which are individually activated or deactivated during runtime and the parameters would be set by the operator on the HMI. All the parameters are further calculated/converted in a FB used for all the PID's. So I used an int input as the PID DB number and created a UDT structure identical to the PID DB. Furthermore the code is kind of automatically generated, so the number of instances is uncertain as well as the absolute address of each instance. In the worst scenario I can move this logic out of this FB and use the symbolic addressing for each PID, but I will need to repeat this logic dozens of times in this case. I am still trying to find a neater way although the chance is low as far as I can see.
