Hi Dave, Failsafe modules works otherwise than normal modules. The DO switching P and M. So you have to measure between P and M of the same channel. It also can detect wire break with this method. So if there is no current, when you turn DO on It would switch off again. The DI have 3 ways to config. 1-channel; 2-channel equivalent; 2-channel, non-equivalent Default setting is 2-channel equivalent. therefore the 2 channel have to turn true between the parametrized Discrepancy time. hi David, I would suggest to get more rudimentary information about Distributed Safety. The DI only appear in Safty programm. This should be called in a contiuous time cycle in a cyclic-interupt-OB, e.g. OB35.
