Error "Automation License Manager Service" has not been started! Please start the Service"

vincentnz Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, My company purchased SIMACTIC S7-1200 along with SIMATIC STEP 7 Basic V13 SP1, and SIMATIC STEP 7 PLCSIM V13 SP1, the package comes with a license dongle (USB), But I was trying to run Automation Licence Manager, I've got the error message saying The "Automation License Manager Service" has not been started! Please start the Service? That was what I am going to do, wasn't it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from TIA Portal v13 - License step 7 was not found. Type in "services". Normally it should be started automatically. Have you installed the Software as admin and with deactivated anti-virus-scan? If not, it can be the reason for the not started service. hope this helps, regards,

wolves and hawks Posts: 531 Rating: (34)	Did you check whether run as admin installation helps? Sadly more and more antivirus and firewalls are doing things they should not because of pattern matching an restricting where it is not always good for installation processes.

When TIA opened, he got the same message: "Automation License Manager" Service has not been started! Please start the Service, but the Automation License Manager Service cannot be started at all. After reinstalling the ALM V6.0 SP1, problem solved. Best regards, Yu-wen A few weeks a go, i posted the same outcome on the installation. The latest ALM is the answer to the problem.
