How do convert TAK,BEC,XOD,INC STL code to LAD?

if it was CREATED in STL you will need manually re-write it in LAD.

in S7-300 everything was translated to STL and then it was possible to display LAD as STL

but there are many constructs in STL which are not compatible with LAD.

in S7-1200/1500 STEP 7 does not convert FBD/LAD/SCL to STL. they are converted straight to machine code which makes it faster.

Moreover, in S7-1200/1500 you can use indirect addressing in LAD/SCL which eliminates use of STL.

We havn´t done anything in SCL and I was thinking about how to integrate SCL in this drawing.

I think it is difficult to compare a high-level language with STL. I know everything what it possible in SCL is also possible in STL, because you can convert a SCL-source to a STL-source. The most is more complicated but it is possible. But the question for me is, can SCL everything what STL can?

I believe since the STL can directly references the address registers there are some instructions that can be executed on STL that aren't possible on SCL. Also some references to the DB which the FB will execute (The actual DB or Instance DI).

The Unconditional Call (UC) for FC's and FB's is something which is only possible on STL and I haven't been able to do on SCL. This is a feature that I'm needing to implement on the 1x00 architecture, since only the 300/400 processors support STL coding.

If anyone have a solution and share it, I would be very grateful.

I do not understand why you would have trouble with an unconditional call. Maybe start a new topic and give a sample program where you have trouble.

I have already tried discussing this subject on other topics (Dynamic function block call in SCL) but we agreed that it is something that is not implemented yet on the 1200 processor architecture.

A feature that I was expecting on 1200 have already come with the V14, the Create and Delete DB instructions. I couldn't simulate this functions though because there are a few issues on PLCSim on V14. I hope I can test this instructions on a physical CPU, but we haven't acquired one with FW 4.2 yet.

What I need is actually an unconditional call or something equivalent

e.g.

I have an reference to an FC -> #FC_To_Call (Int)

Instead of using

CASE #FC_To_Call OF

  1: FC_Number1();

  2: FC_Number2();

END_CASE;

I must use

IF (FC_To_Call > FC_MinRange) AND (FC_To_Call < FC_MaxRange) THEN

  Call_FC(FC_To_Call);

END_IF;

Using CASE, all blocks must downloaded and this uses too much work memory. Since I'm doing checks on runtime, I want to overcome this compiling issue. On 300/400 I use the UC on STL.
